Naomi Yoneda Wesler paints daily in her loft above bustling Chinatown in New York City. Her brush dances from canvas to canvas (she works on more than one at a time) and she paints what she loves: a profusion of fairies, angels, flowers and animals. Inhabiting this creative environment with her are her cats, Miles and Gabriel and her husband, Bob.
Naomi’s work, exhibited in solo shows and numerous group shows, blends sensibilities of her native Japan with an enthusiasm for western mythology and fantasy. Viewers of her oil paintings often find themselves transported inward to the fanciful, imaginative, fresh visions of their childhood. All sorts of delightful, entrancing, and sometimes even scary, things are found there. Explore the gallery of this website and experience the magic.
